Kory and Cara Fay  

Where we're from: Kory's from Topeka, KS, Cara's from Indianapolis, IN, and ''home'' for Sam and Lucy is wherever Mom and Dad are.

What we do: We are missionaries with Lutheran Bible Translators, currently in France studying the French language in preparation for a field assignment in Cameroon, West Africa.

Why LBT: We both felt called to overseas missions. Given Kory's love for Greek and Hebrew, and Cara's heart for Africa, Bible translation in Africa seemed a natural fit.

How we met: We met on a servant event after our junior year in high school but lost contact during our senior year. A few months before leaving for college, we discovered that we were both heading to the same place: Valparaiso University. Once there, we became good friends and the rest is history. Kory graduated in 2007 with a BA in Theology; Cara received a BS in Psychology in 2006. We were married on July 30, 2006. Sam was born on May 2, 2007 and Lucy was born March 31, 2009.

Kory's favorites: studying the weather, goofing off with family, Frisbee, going for walks, hanging out with friends, his mom's cherry cheesecake.

Cara's favorites: interacting with children, long talks with friends, baking (and eating the results), hiking, being organized, sitting down with a good book, and singing.
