Ghana is one of the most densely populated countries in West Africa, with 17.1 million people. English and more than 70 other languages are spoken in Ghana.
Esala Computer Project:
Nathan and Sarah Esala need to purchase a work computer and a netbook. The work computer will be used by
Nathan for translation work, communication, and partnership development preparations. The netbook will be
used by their daughter Karissa for her homeschool work. Ideally, this project will be funded by August
1st so that the Esalas may purchase the two computers here in the U.S. and carry them back to Ghana when
they complete their partnership development furlough.
Komba computer:
A netbook computer is needed for KOLIBITRAP, LBT's Bible translation partner organization in Ghana. The
purchase of this netbook would mean that each full-time staff member at KOLIBITRAP has access to a
computer. It will also allow the literacy coordinator to work from his home, which is a long way from the
KOLIBITRAP office, as well as allowing him to take it to outlying communities to gather traditional
stories for publication for literacy programs.
Esala Apartment Renovations:
Nathan and Sarah Esala plan to convert a dormitory into a family apartment so that they can stay
comfortably in Gbintiri, the town where Nathan has an office. This will allow the family to spend more
time together, and also allow Nathan to stay comfortably overnight when that is required. It will also
increase their ability to spend time in fellowship with other LBT missionaries living in Ghana. Your gift
to this project will help the Esala family to greatly improve their living circumstances.
Komba Motorbikes:
The purchase of two motorbikes for the Komba Language Project will enable literacy supervisors to visit
classes in remote locations, and also allow Scripture engagement personnel to visit churches and
communites. This will ensure the quality of the Konkomba program, enable frequent interaction with
literacy teachers and supervisors, facilitate the opening of new classes in new communities, increase
diaglogue with church leaders, and allow media to be delivered to the outlying areas. Your gift to this
project will help the Komba people better understand and live the Gospel.
