Tight Times Demand Tight Budgets

Two months into 2009 we are optimistic and hopeful about our financial prospects in the face of a poor economy. We are grateful that more than 80 cents out of every dollar donated goes to cover mission and program costs that support missionaries and their work.

When we put our trust in God, and play an active role in doing what God has called us to do, there is no stopping us. We closed 2008 significantly under budgeted support. Fortunately we were able to assure that our core ministries and missions were not seriously affected. As good stewards of what God provided through the prayers and financial generosity of our partners we were able to continue all our programs and overseas partnerships that we were called to in 2008.

December gifts were actually at their highest level in over 5 years. This got us off to a good start in 2009. God has called us to a Great Commission, a sharing of His grace and love through His Word. He will always provide what we need to do this But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33

So regardless of what we hear and see on the news we can keep faith. Our God is bigger than that. He will continue to provide for you as he continues to provide for us through you. Together, with your continued prayers and support, we look forward in 2009 to touch many lives with God s word and grace. Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1
