Rev. Ken and Carol Bunge

Rev. Ken and Carol Bunge

Rev. Ken and Carol Bunge live in San Antonio, Texas, with their high school age son, Chris. Ken's LBT assignment is to assist with the Old Testament translation in the Chaldean language. This project is a partnership with Aramaic Bible Translators in Detroit.

Chaldean peoples from the Middle East are now scattered throughout the world. The project is located in the Detroit area due to the large (several hundred thousand) population of Chaldean Christians living there. Ken makes periodic trips to Detroit to meet with the translation team.

While in the Air Force, Ken served as an Arabic and Hebrew linguist. He retired in 2000 and completed his Masters of Divinity Degree from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis in 2006. Prior to LBT service he served two small congregations in rural Minnesota.

Carol is a nurse having served in the Army Nurse Corps on active duty for four years as a medic. She then enlisted in the Reserves while she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Upon completion of her degree she was commissioned as an officer in the Army Nurse Corps. Carol's LBT focus is continued development and nurturing of their ministry partners. She will also serve as a medical and adult education resource for LBT.
