One of the ways you can partner with Lutheran Bible Translators and help respond to God's Mission is by becoming a Congregational or an Area Representative.
Congregational Representatives serve as a voice for, a representative of, and an advocate for LBT missionary efforts in their congregations. It's a great way to help respond to God's Mission. Joining with us in responding to God's call means we’re working together to spread the Good News.
As an individual, or as part of a team, COngregational Representatives link their congregation or area with LBT field missionary and mission efforts to help those who don't have the Bible in their heart language. Your actions have a world-wide impact that can last an eternity.
We can't fulfill our mission... to help bring people to faith in Jesus Christ... alone. At present, LBT has more than 400 Representatives in 42 states. Join us and them and participate in God's Mission. By becoming an LBT Congregational Representative, you have the rewarding challenge of helping to "make disciples of all nations" Matthew 28:19 (NIV)
We ask our representatives to do two things:
We have tools to help you keep your congregation informed. Some of these tools are:
We'll provide you with advice, prepared materials, videos, updates and a network of missionary speakers... all the things you need as a Congregational Representative. Our goal is to equip you with what you need.
Area Representatives serve as a liason between the LBT Service Center and a number of Congregational Representatives in a given region. Included among the ways in which Area Reps serve are:
We’re striving to expand the number of Area Representatives around the U.S. If helping to fulfill God’s Mission in this way sounds interesting to you, perhaps you’re the kind of person we’re looking for.
Become a vital part of our mission efforts and of our service family. You may sign up on-line to be a Congregational or Area Representative. For more information on how you can become involved, contact Jim Pindras by phone 1-800-532-4253, e-mail or use the LBT "Contact Us" page.
Thank you for prayerfully considering becoming an LBT Representative and partnering with us in our mission and missionary efforts around the world.
