Service Center Volunteers

Lutheran Bible Translators is blessed to have the faithful support of a dedicated group of volunteers. Last year, about 50 volunteers donated approximately 4,000 hours of their time in support of LBT missionary and translation efforts at the Service Center.

Volunteers assist with many of the vital tasks, duties and efforts that we just do not have the staff to handle. Their dedicated service is the equivalence of more than $70,000 a year in cash donations.

What Volunteers Do:

Volunteers Provide a Wide Range of Services, including:

  • Assembling packets of information for many of the gatherings and convocations we display at and attend each year.
  • Assembling and preparing news and information packets for mailing and distribution
  • Organizing and preparing our quarterly Messenger publication for mailing.
  • Help with distributing missionary prayer letters and Insights.
  • Work on building maintenance, mailings and clerical assistance
  • Processing receipts
  • And much more

Our mission efforts could not be accomplished nearly as efficiently and effectively without the help of volunteers. They are an integral part of our ministry and we thank God for their faithful and vital service.

Want to Volunteer?

If you live in the Aurora area, you too can become an LBT volunteer partner... helping to respond to God’s Mission and spreading the Good News. You may sign up on-line to be an LBT Volunteer. For more information on how you can become involved, contact Jim Pindras by phone 1-800-532-4253, e-mail or use the LBT "Contact Us" page. You can also click on the "Become a Volunteer" button.

Our feelings and appreciation for what volunteers help us accomplish are embodied in Paul's letter to the Philippians 1: 3-5 (NIV). "I thank God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now."
