If You Cannot Find the Language You Are Looking For

Not every language has Scripture available yet.

In some cases:

  • Translation is still in progress
  • Only portions of Scripture exist
  • Scripture is available but not yet widely distributed

If you are searching for a language and cannot find it through the resources above, it may be one of the many languages still waiting for translation to begin or continue.

Please reach out to our team if you cannot find a Bible in the language you are looking for, we are happy to assist. Connect with our Program Data & Partnership Coordinator or call us at (660) 225-0810 to get help finding a Bible in the language you are looking for.

How Lutheran Bible Translators Is Connected

Lutheran Bible Translators works with churches and communities to support Bible translation and Scripture use where it does not yet exist.

We do not host all Scripture resources ourselves. Instead, we work alongside global partners so that, over time, Scripture becomes available through many trusted channels.

This page reflects that shared work.

Our ministry strategy
Our organization’s ministry strategy is to listen to local language communities and the church structures that serve them and understand what barriers they are experiencing to Scripture engagement. Based upon what we learn, we work with those communities to sustainably build solutions to remove those barriers and also build within local communities or the church structures that serve them an ongoing capacity to continue to identify barriers to vibrant Scripture engagement and create solutions.

Why Language Matters

People understand Scripture best in the language they use to speak with family, pray, and think.

When Scripture is available in that language:

  • Churches teach more clearly
  • Faith is shared more naturally
  • God’s Word becomes part of daily life

That is why Bible translation and Scripture engagement remain essential.
